Dimitry Pollak
Born in 1922 from a lineage of artists, Dimitry Pollak learned painting and drawing in the Ukraine from his father. The Second World War stopped his art for a time while he served in the Russian Army. After the war, he completed his art studies at the Kiev Institute of Arts. In 1991 that he immigrated to Israel where he now maintains his studio. In a blend of impressionism and Naive art, he uses Mediterranean light to express color in exquisite landscape compositions, elegantly painted in a unique manner.
