A unique design, 24k gold platted bookmark.
The bookmark is packed with a postcard and the following description:
A common motif since ancient times, today the Shofar is most closely associated with Rosh Hashanah, also called Yom Truah the day of blasts (of the Shofar). Tradition holds that it be made of a Ram's horn because of the holiday's Torah portion: 'The Binding of Isaac' and the ram sacrificed in his place. It is believed that this took place on Mount Moriah on the Jewish New Year. The Shofar is sounded daily except for the Sabbath throughout the month preceding Rosh Hashanah, as a reminder to prepare spiritually.
