This Hanukah Menorah probably originates from the north-eastern port city of Salonika and features an openwork backplate of scrolled banches and eight flowers. Three hebrew words are engraved in the center relating to light.
Included with the Menorah is certificate of authenticity from the antiquities authorities at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem and a historical background written in English and Hebrew.
