Barkan Winery Petit Verdot Special Reserve, Israel Wine
No Longer Available
The Petit Verdot Variety originates in the Bordeaux region of France. Because of tendency to be under ripe at Harvest but have excellent acidity, in Bordeaux the variety is usually blended with other grape varieties to add complexity. In the warmer Barkan winery's vineyards in the Upper Galilee, with its granitic, terra rossa soil the variety comes into its own as a truly full bodied red wine redolent with berry and cassis hints.
