Avivim 2009 from Galil Mountain Winery is a wonderful golden color dry white wine with characters of pear, tropical fruit, green apple, peach and flowers with shades of vanilla, toasted oak and honey. It has a butterlike texture with a balanced acidity. This kosher wine is full bodied with a pleasurable finish. It is best served with fish with a cream sauce or a rich risotto. The wine was fermented in French oak barrels and aged on yeast lees for nine months. Under the proper conditions, the wine will age well for three to six years after being harvested.
