Yarden Syrah is a wine of Israel
ready for drinking now, but will continue to improve for decade or more from vintage. We recommend enjoying this wine flavored with rich dishes such as Herb coated crispy lamb or meat stew of oxtail cooked in wine.
Cooler temperatures with normal precipitation typified the winter preceding the vintage. Hot weather in March and April, caused early bud awakening. May brought cool temperatures so normal growth was restored. A short, busy harvest season produced an average crop with high quality potential.
Yarden Syrah come from contract vineyards: Ortal and Elone HaBashan. The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
