This wonderful Israeli wine, Trio Secret 2009, expresses Trio's goal which it to produce rich and concentrated, fruity wines, which will only benefit from age and compliment the produce of the strong, quality vineyards. There are slight differences in the mixture of types of grape depending on the year's harvest, and the selection of the wine that will be this year's Secret takes place after the fermentation. The wine then goes to age for a year in oak barrels, and then is kept for several months in bottles in the cellars of the winery under optimal conditions.
Grape varieties included: 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 12% Syrah
Trio Secret has a beautiful deep red color, an aroma reminiscent of ripe berries, a full-bodied wine with good concentration and firm tannins.
It is recommended to drink these wines beginning from 2012 and ages well over the following years.
