Ramot Naftaly Winery Petit Verdot 2010, Israeli Wines
This is one of the Ramot Naftaly Winery most popular wines. The Petit Verdot grapes ripen late in the season, compared to the other varieties of grapes which ripen which ripen earlier on, which has resulted in the grape being less popular. But the climate conditions in the Kedesh Valley in the Upper Galilee are ideal for this grape to develop. The strong sun in the day and the cold weather that sweeps in in the night contribute to the grape’s intense purple colors and aroma. The extraction of the strong purple color happens quite quickly. The wine was barrel aged for 12 months in new French Oak. It is an enjoyable Israeli Wine that one can drink on its own without being accompanied with food.
