This is a Traditional designed David's Harp Pendant. This is a small, elegant "King David's Harp" pendant made of Gold- plated, bronze. It is 1x1.5 centimeters. The designer took inspiration from a bronze Harp shaped ornament known as "King David's Harp." found when sifting material excavated from the temple mount.
Harp shaped ornaments, today called commonly "King David`s Harp." were popular in the biblical period and many good examples have been unearthed. Because King David was the psalmist and poet of Israel, who composed the Psalms while playing a harp all of these ornaments are associated with him. The artifact that inspired this piece was discovered while Sifting soil excavated illegally from Temple Mount and dumped at Emek Tzurim, Mount of Olives. Many important artifacts have been rescued in this Israel Antiquities Authority Operation. The artifact's production date is unknown, as the excavation removed context. It is very similar in shape and design to the City of David emblem.
