Roman Glass & Silver Jewelry, Ancient Roman Design
This intricate pendant is an absolute must if you’re looking to purchase an exciting and unique piece of Israeli jewelry. Look no further for a truly historic and beautiful item.
This is a striking and yet subtle piece of Roman glass jewelry. Crafted into a perfectly circular shape, this pendant has a shining piece of Roman glass at its very core. Not only does this section of Roman glass shimmer like a true jewel, but it is also an historic item. Around 2,000 years old, this piece of glass is the result of the ingenuity of the Roman empire, which succeeded in developing new techniques to mass produce glass. It was subsequently used for both decorative and storage purposes, with shards still found in places where the Romans ruled, such as this example from Israel.
Aesthetically, this is also a lovely item. The Roman glass is framed by attractive sterling silver, which is fashioned to clasp together into a circular shape. Stylishly placed between the pendant itself and the clasp is an attractive red jewel, which beautifully finishes this item.
