I really enjoyed the service and level of interaction with Israel Catalog.com. The service was excellent the site had all the info I looked for and if I had any questions about the products Avi, an excellent Customer Service Rep was there to answer my questions. Not only will I be shopping again from Israel Catalog.com. I will be making sure that my family and friends looking for similar products shop there as well. Once you find an organization with such a good customer service, you have to support them to show the rest of the business the kind of service and commitment shoppers need. I purchase two “Sterling Silver Block Letters, Hebrew Name Necklaces and three more items” and I loved them. My granddaughter was delighted and feels special that her B-day gift came all the way from Israel. Thank you, Israel Catalog.com
Emanuel Aluminum Hanukkah Menorah and Candle Holder- 3 color choices
A Hanukkah menorah which is multi-functional – it doubles as a candle-holder for all the Hanukkah candles that will be needed during the eight Hanukkah nights. Made of aluminum and available in different colors, this is another great product from famed Israeli Judaica designer Yair Emanuel
The most famous of all the Hanukkah traditions, leaving dreidels and latkes far behind, the lighting of the Hanukkah menorah (or Hannukiah, pronounced Chanukkiah in Hebrew) is definitely the highlight of the Hanukkah festival (also spelled Hannukka or Hanukka, and pronounced Chanukkah or Chanukka in Hebrew). On the first night one candle is lit, and on each of the following nights one candle is added, so that on the eighth and final night eight candles shine together in glory, along with the “shamash”, which is used each night to light the other candles and then displayed.
World-renown Israeli artist and designer of Israeli Judaica Yair Emanuel has created a remarkable Hanukkah menorah that features a built-in candle holder, to add convenience and practicality to this beautiful tradition. The top of this cast aluminum menorah features nine holes to house each night’s candles, along with the “shamash”. On the bottom part of the menorah holes have been laser-cut through the entire menorah, creating slots to slide all the candles into. The holes are arranged in columns that fit the number of candles needed each night – the column on the right edge of the menorah consists of eight holes, and is meant for the eighth night. The next column features seven holes, and so on – until the eighth column, which has only one hole, meant for the first night.
The ninth column, at the far left side – contains eight holes, for the eight “shamashim” needed, one for each night. The unique arrangement of the candle-holes form a triangle in the menorah, into which the words “Ha-Neirot Halalu Kodesh Hem” are engraved, meaning “These candles are holy” in Hebrew.
This original and innovative menorah boasts of a modern sleek design, measures 6.5” X 5.5” X 3.5”, and comes in three different colors – shiny silver, Deep Blue and Maroon Red.
Practical as well as attractive, traditional while modern – this menorah is a unique piece of Israeli Judaica and should appeal to all lovers of Israeli art and design. This fantastic menorah is the perfect gift for many occasions – Bar/Bat Mitzvah, graduation, housewarming or simply as a Hanukkah gift.
