Hadad Sterling Silver Mezuzah Case - Arabesque Scrolls on Flat Edges
Simple rounded sterling silver mezuzah case with raised calligraphy style Shin, arabesque border from Hadad Silversmiths. Total weight 25 grams
The Shema Israel prayer is traditionally held to provide protection and as such is affixed to the doorpost of Jewish homes and inscribed on a wide variety of jewelry and ritual objects.
Israeli Judaica designers Hadad Silversmiths have brought their fine vision and craftsmanship to the making of sterling silver mezuzah (also spelled mezuzah) cases. The cases protect the prayer itself, which is hand-inscribed according to very specific halachic requirements on a piece of parchment.
The surface of this silver mezuzah case features the traditional Hebrew letter shin (for Shema Israel) in raised calligraphy on a surface of smooth polished silver. The base of the mezuzah case, which lays flat against the doorpost, features a border fashioned in an arabesque pattern
