I want to thank you and your staff for all you did to help us select and receive the beautiful miniature kiddush cups. We purchased these for our seniors who are residents of the Kobernick-Anchin campus here in Sarasota, Florida who previously had been using plastic cups! We dedicated the new kiddush cups at our Kabbalat Shabbat service - residents held the cups with such joy, they loved the Jerusalem design which reminded them of long-ago visits to Israel. Several residents with Alzheimer's spoke up, some for the first time in months. Thank you so much. Rabbi Barbara Aiello, resident rabbi, Kobernick Campus, Sarasota, FL

Shabbat candles are required Judaica items that are used every week on Friday evenings to bring in the Shabbat for the weekend. Just before sundown, the woman of the house lights the candles, and follows that be waving her hand over the candles, covering her eyes, and reciting a Sabbath blessing. The two main candles used with these candlesticks are representative of the husband and wife of the home, while smaller candles are used to represent any children in the home. If there is no woman available, a man may take up the candle lighting.
