Bier Silver arts is a family workshop that was founded in 1950 by Jizchak Bier. The elder of the Ber family is a graduate of the famous Bezalel art Academy. He established his Silver craft shop in Jerusalem to establish of a new design concept for Judaica Craft
. At the time, there were very few Jewish silversmiths and there was needed craftsmen to fill demand for handmade religious items. Jizchak Bier achieved the award for his extraordinary Chanukia (Menorah), launching Bier Enterprises.
Most Bier designs are original for Jizchak Bier and take into account beauty of form and usefulness. Over the years, he has created new designs and forms becoming part of Bier’s repertoire. With new designs, classic designs are still bestsellers. His sons Meir and Mordechai have followed in their father’s footsteps. Together, the family ensures excellence in craftsmanship.
