Light blue and Silver Sapir Wool Tallit Prayer Shawl
To design this tallit prayer shawl, the master Judaica craftspeople at Mishkan Hatchelet had only need to look out their window. The light blue and silver stripes are reminiscent of the wondrous colors of the Galilee upon a breezy day.
You know what I like in my tallit prayer shawl? I like a fringed scarf that makes me think of the Holy Land (where I keep my heart). After all, is not the purpose of all Judaica to turn one’s heart to the east (or west if you happen to live east of Jerusalem)? The artisan craftspeople at Mishkan Hatchelet have managed to do just that. With a single tallis, they have brought such joy to my heart, good thoughts of a spring day on the Mediterranean beaches.
When you gaze at these stripes, you may feel a little funny. What is that feeling, you might ask when calling customer service? It is the same feeling that would stir in your chest as you lay upon Carmel Beach watching silver wisps of clouds flit across the blue face of God’s firmament.
