Brass Golan Double Shraga Landesman Shabbat Candlestick
Minimalistic but majestic in its design, this unique and unusual brass Shabbat candlestick is practical in that it supports two candles (the minimal required for the Shabbat candle-lighting ritual) at once. Its streamlined shape allows it to sit comfortably in any space.
Elegant and majestic, this Golan two-candle candelabra for use on Shabbos and Yom Tov features an original and unusual design which completely reimagines a classic Judaica item. Made by Shraga Landesman out of brass, its solid tone goes well with all sorts of candles, whether they are colorful as pictured, or serene, traditional white. The candles are supported by a pair of dainty, narrow columns on a rounded base. Pairs, as you can see, are a recurring theme in this design.
Shabbat is the weekly day of rest which has been observed by the Jewish nation for generations. As with many Jewish holidays, the start is marked by the ritual of lighting a pair (at least) of candles, typically in view of the table where the Shabbat meal will be served. The mitzvot to observe (zocher) and remember (shomer) the Shabbat holiday are reflected in the paired design elements of these Shabbat candlesticks.
