I want to thank you and your staff for all you did to help us select and receive the beautiful miniature kiddush cups. We purchased these for our seniors who are residents of the Kobernick-Anchin campus here in Sarasota, Florida who previously had been using plastic cups! We dedicated the new kiddush cups at our Kabbalat Shabbat service - residents held the cups with such joy, they loved the Jerusalem design which reminded them of long-ago visits to Israel. Several residents with Alzheimer's spoke up, some for the first time in months. Thank you so much. Rabbi Barbara Aiello, resident rabbi, Kobernick Campus, Sarasota, FL
Wild Dove Shaped Shraga Landesman Shabbat Candlesticks
Bring the love of Shabbat into your home with this pair of wild dove-shaped shabbat candlesticks. Doves are animals that are loyal, and mate for life. Like the Jews relationship with our eternal one God, or a husband and wife, this Judaica will bring the warmth of the holy gift of Shabbat into your home.
A pair of Judaica shabbos candle sticks made with the lover, the covenanted in mind, these wild dove shaped Shabbat candlesticks will draw the eternal love for God, and each other, into your home for ages to come.
The dove is a symbol of peace, as we recall from one of the mot retold stories in biblical history, of Noah and the olive branch-carrying dove. Doves are also a symbol of eternal love and loyalty, as doves pair off and mate for life.
For ages, Jews have greeted each other on Shabbat with a hearty “Shabbat shalom!” What does this mean? The meaning of “Shalom” is two-fold. In greetings, “shalom” means hello. In the Five Books of Moses, and in modern Hebrew, “shalom” means “peace.” May these items of Shraga Landesman Judaica art bring the shalom of Shabbat into your house upon this gorgeous pair of silver-winged doves.
