I want to thank you and your staff for all you did to help us select and receive the beautiful miniature kiddush cups. We purchased these for our seniors who are residents of the Kobernick-Anchin campus here in Sarasota, Florida who previously had been using plastic cups! We dedicated the new kiddush cups at our Kabbalat Shabbat service - residents held the cups with such joy, they loved the Jerusalem design which reminded them of long-ago visits to Israel. Several residents with Alzheimer's spoke up, some for the first time in months. Thank you so much. Rabbi Barbara Aiello, resident rabbi, Kobernick Campus, Sarasota, FL

Shabbat is celebrated by observant Jews from Friday night through Saturday, as the day begins at nightfall according to Jewish tradition. Traditionally, the holiday’s beginning is marked by the lighting of two candles. Designed as a day of rest mirroring G-d’s resting on the seventh day of creation, as recounted in the Book of Genesis, Jewish people abstain from the mundane trappings of the busy week on Shabbat and spend time connecting with their families and the Creator, the beggining of shabbat marked with the lighing of candles in two beautiful Shabbat candlesticks.
