This checkerboard pattern sterling silver Kiddush cup and saucer set is perfect for those whose taste runs more toward geometric design than ornate floral decoration.

Israeli Judaica designers Hadad Silversmiths have created this updated take on the traditional silver Kiddush goblet and saucer. The flat-bottomed cup is completely covered in a simple checkerboard pattern. Each of the darker squares is engraved on a speckled etched background to add an element of complexity to the design. The cup's rim is straight-edged and banded in smooth polished silver.

The checkerboard pattern repeats around the edge of the matching silver saucer.

The Kiddush blessing over the wine is one of the most important parts of any festive Jewish meal. Do honor to good food and good wine with ritual objects of fine 925 sterling silver, handcrafted in Israel by top-notch Jewish artisans. And as only Jewish workmen created this item, there is no need to Tovel it (immerse it in a Mikvah). Total weight:.59 pounds(270 grams).

The silver Kiddush cup holds the Shiur (halachic amount) of wine required to recite the Kiddush.

Anyone who knows fine silver will appreciate the design and quality of this silver cup and saucer set, and nothing could be a more appropriate Chatan gift (wedding gift) for a couple starting a new life together. One can only hope that the newlyweds will see many, many happy Shabbat and holiday meals - give them this silver Kiddush goblet set, which will surely become a treasured part of their Jewish home and be passed down to children and grandchildren
