Adena, Thank you so much. The way you can tell a quality organization is by how they handle mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone takes responsibility for them. I will happily recommend you to my friends and also give positive feedback to my rabbi who recommended in the first place.
Screen Printed Birds Tree, Hanukkah Menorah
This Hanukkah menorah features a modern, colorful design of a tree, in the general shape of a classical, nine-branched menorah, decorated with images of birds and a girl on a swing. Made of laser-cut metal, this is a terrific piece of practical Israeli Judaica; the perfect Hanukkah gift and home for your Hanukkah candles.
Including candle holders made of polished Aluminum
Lighting the Hanukkah candles has long been one of the most cherished of Jewish traditions and customs; a sure highlight on the Jewish holiday calendar.
While symbols abound during the Jewish festival of Hanukkah (also spelled Hannukah and known as Chanukah in Hebrew), such as the dreidel (top), sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts), potato latkes (pancakes) and Hanukkah gifts, the menorah (also spelled menora, and known as a Hanukiah, or Chanukkiah in Hebrew) outshines all the others.
Each night the Hanukkah menorah is lit, with the number of candles each night increasing as the festival progresses. On the first night one candle is lit, and one is added on each of the eight nights. Each night an additional candle known as the ‘shamash’ (Hebrew for helper or servant) is used to light the others and is then displayed alongside them, making for a total of nine candles.
While menorahs can be found in many shapes and design, the most common design is the classical nine-branched candelabra, similar to the menorah used in the ancient Jewish Temple.
Israeli sculptor and artisan Dan Shamir of the Joy Art studio has crafted a dazzling menorah which bears the shape of a classical menorah, while adding modern techniques to the style and design result in a true masterpiece. Made of metal laser-cut using modern technology, the main body of the menorah is shaped like a tree; a somewhat curvy variation of the standard nine-branched model
Shapes of birds and flowers abound, while a girl swings on a swing hanging from one of the branches of the tree. The menorah is decorated using a dazzling silk-screen printing technique, featuring dazzling colors along with immaculate attention to detail.
While screen-printing has been in use for centuries, dating back to ancient China, in recent years technology has been developed allowing the use of screen-painting to near perfection. This ability is on display in this spectacular menorah. Nine candle holders are mounted at the tops of nine branches of the tree, in a row along the top of the menorah, for the ‘shamash’ and other Hanukkah candles.
This fantastic piece of modern Judaica and Israeli art is the perfect Hanukkah gift, sure to delight any lucky recipient.
