Clara is an opinionated woman with her own ideas about how people should behave. Affectionately called Doda Clara [Aunt Clara], she runs everybody's life according to her take on life. A polish born Jew, now living in Tel Aviv of the 1970's, she interacts with her husband, her sisters, their husbands, their children, and her brother who lives in London (probably because it was the only way to get away from her...) according to her 3 basic rules of proper behavior. Whenever something "improper" does happen, Clara's way of handling it is simply to shove it under the carpet and ignore it completely, as if it never happened. As one may expect, everything crumbles when her niece gives her no option, but to break at least one of those rules. Sweet comedy about life and family in Israel during this time period. First release in 1977, it is enjoying another airing with this new DVD PAL version from NMC United. 92 minutes, Spoken Hebrew with Hebrew and English subtitles
