This full-bodied boutique wine from the Adir Winery is made from 100% Shiraz grapes and aged in real oak barrels over 12 months. Adir's Shiraz 2008 features hints of black currents, marmalade, and cigars.
The Adir vineyard was established in the 1990s by the Ashkenazi and Rosenberg grapegrowing families from Kerem Ben Zimra in the Galilee. Before founding the winery, the Rosenbergs sold their grapes to some of the finest and most demanding wineries in Israel.
Adir Wineries boast great quality, unique aroma and complex flavor that can only be achieved by the ideal conditions in the Galilee soil and that region's temperature.
A few years ago, Avi Rosenberg decided to be a more integral part of Israel’s wine industry and so purchased all the tools needed to produce a wine cellar. The famed Dr. Arkady Papikiyan is the vineyard's advisor.
Today, the winery produces about 10,000 bottles annually.
