hi Ronald, our plates are the lightest level IV plates on the market, the level IV plates has heavier materials such as ceramics that is needed to insure the safety of the person who wears them

My only complaint about the vest is how it fits. I have a regular Milwaukee Leather vest now in XL and it fits fine. When you add the plates it makes it too tight. You might want to recommend to your customers to buy one size larger.
