The aroma of this
first Israeli single malt whiskey is reminiscent of barley with a little bit of orange, and a delicate wood, cinnamonny whiff and lemon and marzipan incorporated in there too. A delight of a light bodied whiskey, it tastes of lemon and orange peel accompanied by a hint of black pepper. An excellently balanced whisky, it has both delicate and sharp fruity flavors, and leaves a long and slightly sharp finish in the mouth with continuous delicious chocolaty aftertaste. This single malt whisky was premiered in an experimental series with only 391 numbered bottles, in 2019 being released at large. Non filtered and single cask, Israel's First Single Malt Whisky is refreshing and lovely, bottled at 46% abv. Despite it's young age of 2.5 years in American oak casks and then 7 months in an ex-bourbon barrel, the whisky has a mature and complex flavor, thanks to the hot climate conditions of Israel. Tomer Goren, Milk & Honey's Head Distiller, along with the late Dr. Jim Swan, Milk & Honey's first master distiller and consultant (long held as the world's leading expert on hot climate whisky, who sadly passed away on February 2017), created this beauty of a beverage.
