The Yarden Bar′on Vineyard wine is a unique wine made solely from grapes grown in one vineyard, the winery's flagship vineyard, Bar'on. With 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Syrah and 11% Petit Verdot, this wine features red and black fruit notes with anise, smoke, pipe tobacco and espresso, and hints of herb. A true full bodied wine, it pairs delightfully with garlicky lamb, ribeye steak, slow-cooked barbecue beef ribs, or other rich festive foods. The perfect Israeli wine for a fancy meal, the 2013 vintage it is from was a wonderful time for wine, and this one tastes like the beauty of the Golan Heights from whence it came. Elevated at 1,040 meters, or 3,400 feet, this special vineyard has both flat plains and southwest facing slope, allowing its range of grapes to beautifully come together into a creation of the vine of this caliber.
