This eye pendant by Ben Jewelry is handmade out of 18k yellow gold and set with a ruby in the middle, for the iris of the eye, and a bunch of diamonds in the outline of the eye, giving the appearance of the white part of the eye. The ruby is 0.25 ct, and the diamonds are 0.16 ct each. The meaning behind this design of Israeli jewelry is that the eye is the symbol of the evil eye and protects the wearer against its influence, such as you might see a similar eye on a hamsa. Ben Sadya makes every piece of jewelry with care and attention, using techniques passed down in his family, who used to make jewelry for the royal court of Yemen.
