This Sterling silver and 9K gold artistic pair of cufflinks is square in shape, with the seven branched candelabrum of the ancient Jewish temple, emblem, known in Hebrew as the Menora, worked in gold onto its silver surface.
The Menora pictured on this work of Jewish jewelry was cast of pure solid gold by Phineas (Pinhas, in Hebrew) for the Jewish temple as per God's commandment, and the oil candles located at the tips of each of the arms were kept burning at all times from the finest olive oil, nothing but the first portion of oil squeezed from the olive, in part to demonstrate that the temple emanated enlightenment to the rest of the world, rather than being a recipient of light from the sun like most everything else in those times.
Reminiscent of the Jewish holiday of Hannuka, these cufflinks are the perfect Israeli jewelry to give the most festive of airs to any wedding, bar mitzvah, reunion, or other such event.
