This elegant sterling silver and 9K gold necklace pendant is shaped like the inside of the pomegranate fruit and offers a small, sightly window view into the Holy City of Jerusalem. Affectionately dubbed the City of Gold, Jerusalem's quaint and timeless architecture is recreated in stunning, miniaturized detail on one half of this pendant. On the other half, garnet stones have been arranged to resemble the numerous seeds of the pomegranate - in Judaism, the pomegranate is said to be symbolic of a long, healthy life.
Rafael Jewelry was founded by Israeli jewelry designer Rafael Saadia. Several of his jewelry designs include shards of Roman glass, which is over 2000 years old.
