Live long and prosper! The traditional blessing of the priests (kohanim) in the Temple (hands raised, with the first two fingers and the last two fingers of each hand forming a V) – a gesture that was adopted, along with the 'Love long and prosper' slogan, by the wildly successful Star Trek science fiction franchise – is captured on this sterling silver disc pendant from Dan Designs.
The pendant, in oxidized silver, depicts two hands raised in the priestly blessing in relief on a carved background. A single turquoise stone is set between the hands. Above the hands appears the Hebrew letters 'HE' – standing for Hashem (G-d) - also carved in relief. The priestly blessings are engraved in Hebrew on the back of the pendant.
A raised carved design suggesting a wreath of laurel extends around the outer edge of the pendant, which is intended to bring peace and prosperity to the wearer.

Eventually the sages feared that the secrets of Jewish mysticism may fall into the wrong hands during foreign conquests or may be misinterpreted by unknowledgeable students. It was therefore decided to reserve the study of Kabbalah to pious and knowledgeable students over the age of 40.
This has been the case for over 2000 years until recently when a renewed interest suddenly appeared. Now Kabbalah is being studied by many people all over the world including famous celebrities.
