An elegant and tastefully designed blue and tan metal mezuzah designed for use in Jewish homes and synagogues. In charming cutout designs are the image of the Temple menorah, as well as the opening verse of the prayer “Mah Tovu,” which originates in the Book of Numbers in the Bible. The prayer of “Mah Tovu Ohalecha Yaakov” is traditionally recited upon entering the synagogue, for the words of this prayer express the speaker’s admiration for the Jewish people as they commune to pray to G-d and study the Torah in unity.
Mezuzot (as they are referred to in the plural form in Hebrew) are small, rectangular judaica cases which are designed to encase a small but holy piece of parchment that’s handwritten by a sofer (trained Jewish scribe) with the sacred verses of the Biblical “Shema” prayer in ancient Hebrew calligraphy.
