Jump (or spring) into Spring when you don this elegant, silk Judaica Tallit prayer shawl for Jewish men and boys aged thirteen and older. Its four corners are adorned with strands of tzitzit, and the entire garment is covered in patterned stripes of multiple hues of green, brown, and gold, reminiscent of the beautiful season of Spring when the trees and flower buds re-emerge anew from Winter’s smothering blanket. Also included is a matching silk kippah (skull cap) head covering with coordinating designs by Galilee Silks.
The tallit is a four-cornered garment worn by Jewish men (and sometimes women in egalitarian circles) during the morning prayer service. As required by Jewish laws stated in the Torah, garments with four corners must be adorned with tzitzit strings on each corner. Before donning a tallit in a special way, a Jew recites a blessing which acknowledges the mitzvah of the ritual.
