An understated beechwood base holds a silver-plated goblet in this fine object of israeli-made judaica. Upon the base sits a metal plate carved with the timeless words of the Kiddush pray and a single understated cluster of grapes. The kiddush cup itself is highly polished to a reflective shine.
The beechwood base of the cup is finished with a technique chosen by the artist to accent the wood’s fine grain. This lends a naturalistic feeling to the base which balances the machined and silver-plated goblet.
As for the cup itself, it is formed of turned metal plated in silver with the inside given a subtle brushed finish and the outside polished to mirror-like perfection made by artist Shraga Landesman.
