This beautifully designed and unique Shtefenesht Kiddush cup has a wavy shape and a matching saucer. It is made of silver plated nickel and the Judaica cup shines inside and out. It is decorated with four captions about Rabbi Matityahu Friedman (The holy Rebbe of Shtefenesht) in Yiddish and etched with beautiful floral designs below the caption and at the base of sunflower with berries and of roses. A matching nickel plated saucer completes the set engraved with the Hebrew words ""Boreh pri hagefen"" to mark the occasion with holiness.
Shtefenesht was a Hasidic dynasty that lasted from 1858 - 1933 in Romania. It had only two Rabbis. Rabbi Avraham Mattisyahu Friedman (1847-1933 ) succeeded his father Rabbi Menachem Nochum Friedman (1823–1869) and is known to be one of the hidden tzaddikim of his generation. He was a man of great influence with thousands of followers and deep respect from Jews and even Christians.
