This judaica piece is a stunning marble Mezuzah case that has been carved by hand and has a rounded body that has been polished and textured. The Mezuzah has been designed to hold different sized parchment scrolls and is perfect for hanging on the doorframe of your home, office or institution. The case is decorated from top to bottom with alternating and diagonal sections of light and dark grey. There is a white oval shaped circle on top of the sections with the Hebrew letter "Shin" etched out to blend with underlying colors.
A Mezuzah can refer to a parchment that has the words of the "Shema" written on it by a scribe or the ornamental Judaica case the parchment is placed in then hung on the doorframes of Jewish homes. This is done to fulfil the mitzvah of Mezuzah (Which translates to "doorpost" in English).
