Ayala Adler is the epitome of Israeli contemporary traditional Judaica art and jewelry. Beloved locally as well as internationally for a high bar of quality and her incredible attention to detail both in the creation and the design of her pieces, Ayala takes her inspiration from the spirituality, history and beauty of Jerusalem, where she grew up. Since childhood, she has experimented with materials and crafts, exploring their limits and later creating art with them, and the creative process of making Judaica is her source of joy and confidence, as she completely focuses on the creation of beauty and meaningfulness within her hands.
Discovering jewelry as something that could be made opened new creative spheres for her at the age of 16, and since then jewelry has been another type of art that she takes immense joy in creating, finding shapes and colors that compliment each other and designing pieces that are unique and lovely. After her army service, Ayala formally studied jewelry art, and learned new techniques for shaping metal, allowing her to make even more meaningful designs and giving her a creative freedom to make her own unique statements. Over the years, she was drawn to also making larger objects, and so she got into the Judaica making world, where she could infuse more meaning than ever into her creations, a spiritual and religious expression that is made specially for beautifying the events and commandments of the Jewish faith. She is not a very religious person, but this meaningfulness means the world to her, when she knows that her mezuzah design is going to be a cherished part of someone's home and spiritual connection to God.
