Fun, modern, and themed on Judaism and Israel, Barbara Shaw truly conveys the spirit of the holy land in her colorful and creative products for every occasion. The look is pure Israeli style, and the items she makes are practical as well as lovely to look at - making them the very best gifts, one of Barbara's goals for her studio.
Barbara is from Sydney, Australia, making Aliyah in 1986 and beginning her business in 2008, with inspiration from Finish Marimekko and Australian Ken Donne, a single seamstress, and her son, right out of school, as well as her youngest son of late, on the business end. Starting with a line of aprons, dish towels, and tote bags, she has now expanded her repertoire to include shirts, ceramics, serving utensils, wood, stationary, glass and perspex, as well as baby gifts and a unique Yiddish line.
An innovative company, Barbara now works with a range of specialist Jerusalem artists and designers, collaborating to make some of the most beloved products, each with a tale to tell, all created ethically in her Jerusalem workshop. Her products can be found online, at her store in Jerusalem, and in Jewish museums and gift shops around the globe.
Barbara Shaw and her diverse team strive for excellence in all aspects of the company, be it customer service, production, design, and more, and she brings a background of Fine Art, Archaeology and Business to the table to create a gift shop that is sure to satisfy her buyers, with the quality, design, and personal touch in every piece.
