The perfect tallit for a wedding or a Bar Mitzvah, as well as a gift anytime, Weaving Creation gives you the opportunity to have it come from the caring hands of artists in the holy city of Jerusalem.
Before weaving the tallit, there is a stage of prayer to help put the artist's heart and soul into the creation as well as praying for success on behalf of the recipient of the tallit.
Then, the warp threads are put onto the loom by hand. These threads are rolled on the warping wheel, over 47 kilometers of thread!
The warp threads are then tied to the loom, over 550 threads tied on by hand, with care taken not to forget or skip any of the threads. Now the loom is ready.
The weaving begins, using a weaving shuttle and rolling the woof threads on a bobbin, then moving the shuttle from side to side in between the warp threads.
During the weaving of the tallit, they pray and sing joy and love into the garment.
When the tallit is complete, they take it off of the loom and knit on the atara and 4 corners of the tallit. Then the tzitzit strings are tied on, the most important part.
When the tallit is finished, they thank God and feel the happiness of creation that is woven in with the threads making up the special garment.
